Michael Dalton
One of the most unknown blackjack experts is Michael Dalton. He quietly lives with his wife in Florida and has published magazines and books on gambling since the early nineties. But gaming wasn’t his first vocation, and he has numerous degrees in Space Technology. He also worked for NASA for over 25 years, work which included the Space Shuttle launches and developing software for Kennedy Space Centre.
He had a blackjack playing career for years, all the while working on maintaining a low profile. In order to publish books he has had to step into the limelight over the past decade, but still is a relative unknown in the gaming industry. His publications include Encyclopedia of Casino Twenty-One and the Blackjack Review Magazine that was published from 1992 through 1998. He also published the controversial book Blackjack Ace Prediction by David McDowell. That book was originally praised, but later reviews exposed flaws in the system and the book lost some of its appeal.
He currently maintains a website that’s dedicated to blackjack and poker called bjrnet.com. His encyclopedia is published for free on this site for those who wish to use it. The site also includes tips for poker, obviously another of Dalton’s passions. There are very useful forums which are monitored by Dalton that will answer just about any question you might have on the subject of blackjack. You can research and buy books on different games, especially blackjack and poker.
We may not see Michael Dalton on television or on book covers, but he has influenced the game of blackjack immensely since he first became involved.
