World Series Of Poker Draws To A Close
The 2009 World Series of Poker has been extremely exciting in its 40th anniversary.
The events are waning to a close with just the main event currently underway in Las Vegas, only to take a five month break until the winners are decided in November.
The tournament began on May 27 and here is the way they have finished up until the completion of the 56th event.

Event 57 is underway and is the Texas Hold ‘Em. This tournament is the premier event of the World Series of Poker and features eight days of action with 12 separate tournaments and a media day to be held on July 9.
This final portion of the summer schedule concludes on July 15 as players battle their way elimination style to have the honor of gracing the final table portion of the tournament, which will be held November 7-10.
The Ante Up For Africa, a charity event, but not an official WSOP event was held on Thursday, July 2 and Alex Bolotin took home the victory and $176,449 in prize money.
The final summer event is actually the Dream Team Poker consisting of the best players in sort of an All-Star game event, but once again, not an official WSOP event.
