Why double down?
Whether or not to double down in blackjack is generally simple: do it!
After all, you know the dealers up-card. Second, the casino is allowing you to bet more money with that
information. Finally, your chances of winning the hand – when you should be doubling – are better than the dealers.
You always want to bet more when the casino is at a distinct disadvantage so as to increase your potential
return. Your edge comes from the new bets paying even money on hands you are favored to win.
