Better Weather Slated for Florida Racing
In the cool winter month’s, the horse racing scene shifts to Florida and other warm states, but last week the Sunshine State resembled many of the northern states, however weather for this Saturday looks much more like Florida in January, which will certainly make everyone involved in the Pasco Stakes from Tampa Bay Downs.
Last week cold temperatures, rain and sleet—yes sleet—covered Northern and Central Florida and affected some of the winter racing at the various races throughout the state.
This week’s weather looks much more favorable. Although there is a chance of scattered showers in the Tampa Bay area, temperatures are slated to be around 70 degrees, much better than the wintery mix and 30 and 40 degrees that infiltrated the state last weekend.
Eight horses will be vying for the $50,000 race between three-year olds. It will be the ninth race of the day and will begin at approximately 4:10 p.m. local time.
Here is the way they will start along with their odds which were set Thursday morning.
