Competitive Race At Gulfstream Park On Saturday
Several past winners will meet up in what figures to be a competitive running of the Holy Bull Stakes.
The race will be staged Saturday at approximately 5:08 p.m. Eastern time at Gulfstream Park.
The Holy Bull Stakes is a Grade III event with a $150,000 purse at stake, but a favorite could be tough to spot in the field of nine horses.
Aikenite, Homeboykris, Jackson Bend, Piscitelli and Winslow Homer have all won Grade I events in their past and each are looking to capture an early victory to get their 2010 season underway in a positive way.
The odds, which were set Thursday morning, point to Jackson Bend as the favorite at 5-2 with Todd Pletcher-trained Aikenite shortly behind at 4-1. Several horses follow with 6-1 and 8-1 odds.
