Gio Ponti Favorite In Man O’War Stakes

This weekend’s biggest race takes place at Belmont Park with the Man o’ War Grade 1 stakes with Gio Ponti the favorite to take home the victory.

Gio Ponti is coming in the hottest of the nine horse field after winning his last two Grade 1 events he has started. Gio Ponti also drew the coveted outside post for the race.

The purse is $500,000 and will be raced on Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:12 and will feature several brand name horses who were involved in the just completed three-year old Triple Crown series.

The race will be run on turf for a mile and 3/8ths.
