Los Angeles Lakers vs Milwaukee Bucks

The Los Angeles Lakers have enjoyed home cooking early in the season to ride off to the best record in the Western Conference, but most teams win at home so many wanted to see how the defending champions would fare outside the cozy surroundings of the Staples Center and so far they are looking like the best team in the league. They continue their trip when they face the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night looking for their 13th win in 14 tries.

The Lakers (19-4) are looking to become the second team in the league (Boston) and first in the West to amass 20 wins on the season. They hit the road with a thud against the Utah Jazz, 102-94 on Saturday, but bounced back with a 96-87 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

Los Angeles figures to matchup well with its remaining opponents on its longest road trip of the season. Counting Chicago and Milwaukee (11-11) they will face teams at .500 or worse and head to New Jersey and Detroit before heading back to la-la land.

Kobe Bryant continues to amaze by playing with a broken finger and recovering from the flu. He tipped in 42 points against Chicago on Tuesday, his best output of the season. This was following his poorest performance of the season in the loss to Utah, 16 points as he was in the full throws of the stomach flu and broken finger suffered the night before at home against Minnesota.

Bryant is salivating at the chance of facing the Milwaukee Bucks. He has averaged nearly 30 points per game over the past nine games, which the Lakers have gone 6-3 and won the past three straight.

The Bucks suffered a loss when they last hosted the Lakers, but had won two straight in Milwaukee over them. Milwaukee is hoping their losing ways are behind them as they look to advance a modest two-game winning streak following a four-game losing streak and dropping eight of their previous nine.

Milwaukee scored a big victory over Portland in their last game on Saturday, winning 108-101 in double overtime led by a season-high 27 points from Andrew Bogut and 20 from Luke Ridnour.
