Los Angeles Kobe Bryant and Clevelands LeBron James have led the MVP race all season long, but two dark horses after entered the race since the All-Star break, Miamis Dwyane Wade and New Yorks Nate Robinson. The latter two, and their teams, will meet up Saturday in Miami.

Wade and Robinsons heroics have not helped their team win consistently and that may be their downfall. The Heat (30-27) will attempt to break out of a skid that has seen them drop four of their last six and the Knicks (24-34) try to break out of a three losses in four game stretch.

Wade is the league leader with 28.7 points per game and has been even better, at 32.8, since the second half began. His team dropped their last game at Atlanta 91-83 on Friday. Wade, as usual, did his part with 21 points and 10 assists, while the rest of his teammates struggling. The rest of the starting five combined for only 24 points.

Robinson had an off night Friday night in New Yorks 108-103 home loss to Philadelphia. He finished with only 14 points, but fellow bench players Larry Hughes scored 25 points to try to bring back the New York Knicks.

Sloppy play and miscues resulted in the Knicks lowest point total of the season in the first quarter-11 points. New York was unable to come completely back, but gave it a gallant effort.

The New York Knicks have dominated the Miami Heat, winning four straight and seven of the last nine, including their first matchup this season, October 29th at Madison Square Garden, a 120-115. In that game Wade finished with 26 points, nine assists and seven rebounds while Robinson had 13 off the bench.
