Beware of Blackjack Scams

There’s lots of great blackjack information on the internet for fledgling players to hone their skills. But there are also a lot of scams out there that look to take advantage of new players by taking their money and providing very little in return. Most offer some sort of shortcut, or easy way to hit it big playing blackjack. These are a couple of the more common ones you may come across, don’t waste your money and time on these fake offers.

Card Clumping is a tracking system that is based on the notion that clumps of cards can be tracked by determining your pattern of wins and loses. It’s been around since 1983 when Eddie Olsen first dropped it into the market. He has since backed away from it, but others continue to try and sell this bogus system. These theories would have had some merit in a casino 30 years ago, but are useless in today’s gaming environment.

2 for 1 Blackjack games are not what some think they are. This says it pays 2 for 1 when you hit a blackjack. That’s better than the 3 to 2 you usually get for a blackjack, right? Or is it? If you look a little closer it says it pays 2 for 1. The key word here is “for”, not 2 to 1 but 2 for 1. That means your 1 is included in the 2, so you’re only winning 1. The real odds for these games when you hit a blackjack are 1 to 1. Don’t play these games; the house has a bigger edge.
