Double Attack Blackjack

There is popular variant of blackjack that’s played in the casinos of Atlantic City called Double Attack Blackjack. It can be found in more than half of the city’s casinos and varies from traditional blackjack in few ways.
This game uses an 8-deck shoe, but the decks are “Spanish”, meaning that the tens are removed and each only has 48 cards. Because this increases the house edge, the game has lots of special rules to give the player back some of those odds. You have lots of playing options in Double Attack Blackjack that are normally hard to find on a regular blackjack table. These include:
- Dealer stands on soft 17
- Player may double after a split
- All pairs, except aces, may be re-split to 3 or 4 hands
- The first card dealt is the dealer’s up card, and the player may double his bet after it’s shown (player has not see their cards yet)
- Winning player blackjack pays even money
- Aces can be split only once, and receive only one card
- Insurance pays 5 to 2
There is another bet available called the “BustIt” bet. This is a bet that the dealer will bust out on exactly three cards. These are the payouts:
